Jindong Zhang was a postdoctoral scholar in the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability (CSIS). He gained a PhD degree in Ecology at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. His PhD research dealt with examining activity patterns and space use of wild giant pandas in response to natural and human disturbances in Wolong Nature Reserve, China.

While at CSIS he is continued to develop his research on wild giant pandas, specifically focusing on examining the spatio-temporal patterns of human activities occurring across giant panda habitat.

Research Interests:

Wildlife ecology and management, conservation biology
