Jamie DePolo has more than 20 years experience in science writing and planning strategic research communication for universities, including Michigan State.
DePolo began working for the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability in October 2010. Before that, she worked as a communications manager for the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station (now known as MSU AgBioResearch) for 17 years and also managed communications for the MSU Office of Biobased Technologies (now known as the MSU BioEconomy Network). In these roles, DePolo helped position MSU as a leader in plant science, sustainability and biofuels research.
DePolo also served as an adjunct instructor in the MSU Department of Agricultural and Extension Education, teaching a 400-level course on communications each fall semester.
She is a member of the National Association of Science Writers.
