CSIS alumna Abigail Lynch will receive the Albert Hazzard Award from the Michigan Chapter of the American Fisheries Society Wednesday in Holland, Mich.

She is receiving the award for her dissertation research “Designing a decision-support tool for harvest management of Great Lakes white fish (Coregonus clupeaformis) in a changing climate.”

Marissa Hammond, a master's student, will be gaining hands on experience in studying lake whitefish in the Upper Great Lakes with the help the Janice Lee Fenske Excellence in Fisheries Management Fellowship. She was awarded the one-year fellowship this week, which provides $5,000 and a sharp focus on mentoring.
